Company Spotlight - Fresh Idea Designs, Deanna Gibbons

My business is Fresh Idea Designs, a web design business. I've been doing it for about 2 years now. I started online as a virtual assistant and learned HTML to create a website for myself, and fell in love with designing! I always thought I wasn't a very creative person, but once Ilearned to design sites, my creativity really started to develop. I started seeing ideas for new designs in my everyday life and couldn't wait to try them out on sample sites. I played around creating lots of these. It's been great fun and way to express myself.

ARTICLES

Aging Gracefully, © Linda Alexander

I just had one of those "*9" birthdays. You know . . . that year just before THAT YEAR, the one that takes you over the precipice to another decade.

Why is it that we feel different when this happens? What is it that goes through our head when that "*9" birthday -- any one of them, pick your most un-favorite and fill in YOUR blank -- enters our consciousness as not only in our future but, suddenly, is rudely our reality?

Mental Potpourri, © Joan Marques

This is an anthology of thoughts that you may be able to use, as it might be possible that one or more of these reflections pertain to your life or the circumstances you are currently in.

Regret or Passion? Which Will Yours Be?, © Kathleen Gage

I once attended a retreat on how to live with passion and fulfill one's life's work. The facilitator posed the question, "If money was not an issue, yet you had to work full-time, what would you do?" Answering this question was a turning point for me. Now - years later - I am doing much of what came up in my answer.

How would you answer this question? Ask yourself, "What am I good at? What do my friends say I am good at? What do I enjoy and feel passionate about? What do I think is important?" The key to your happiness may well be held in the answers.

Getting Married? Keep Your Name, © Anne Wondra

I know you're in love. And maybe you think it's romantic-or required-to change your name to match your husband's. And when/if you have children, you would like their names to match their parents' name.

The reality is, your birth name is connected to your identity, your heritage, and all of who you are. It is how you are known in the world-to those you grew up with, went to school with, worked with, are related to, and developed friendships and relationships with. A lot of who we are is formed and influenced in our early years and school years.

Fun With Spiritual Flaws, © Sheree Rainbolt-Kren

Ever have a day where you leave your spiritual center and fall into the hideous abyss...willingly?

So, this morning, my husband and I went with our daughter, Lily, to a before-school tea. My youngest son, Dylan, was supposed to be at his school early for tutoring, but THAT completely slipped my mind, as I even forgot to put it on my calendar. 804.gif Now I will call her and beg her forgiveness. Just love those early morning guilt/shame loser energies swirling about.

Medical Alert Jewelry, © Terry McDermott

No one really wants to be labeled as "different." And certainly, no one wants to create that label and apply it to him or herself. But many medical conditions require some form of identification indicating that such a condition exists and must be considered in the case of an emergency. Thus, millions of people with hundreds of medical conditions must advertise that fact simply to protect themselves. For many, jewelry is the chosen medium.

Writing e-Courses: Is Yours Really Working?, © Catherine Franz

The lure of choice to get visitors to websites these days is to offer e-courses. After reading and analyzing 253 e-courses over a six-month period for my teleprogram: "e-Courses: Writing Them so they Attract," I came away with what can make or break the success of an e-Course as well as templates that didn't work and those that did.
