"A young lady arrived at her first ballgame during the 5th inning. "The score is 0 to 0," she heard a nearby fan say. "Oh, good," she cooed to her boyfriend, "then we haven't missed a thing."

Company Spotlight - Cindy of Bright Minds
Bright Minds is a fairly new division of The Critical Thinking Company (aka Critical Thinking Press). It was developed by the founder's daughter-in-law to get more of these wonderfully effective books and software materials into the hands of more parents and educators. She also wanted to provide homeschool moms and other SAHM's with an opportunity to run their own business.
I've been running my own business for a little over 8 months. My favorite aspect is that I get to provide homeschoolers (and other parents and educators) materials that really challenge their children to think for themselves, make decisions wisely, and communicate their beliefs effectively. I also LOVE to offer my friends the opportunity to earn these materials for free or at a discount!

I've been drawing and painting ever since I was an infant. I studied art in college, but only began painting professionally about ten years ago, during a mid-life crisis of sorts. I didn't really DECIDE to become a painter. I kinda fell into it. I took art in college, but worked in the printing trade for years, and then in the early eighties, as a computer graphics artist. However, I became unemployable due to migraines and had to find something I could do when I was able. Eventually, with a combination of holistic therapies, I got my life back, and I've been painting ever since. Now it's a way of life.

ACCORDING TO LIFE
Message of Hope - Thoughts for Uncertain Times, © Kathleen Gage
There are some experiences that constitute a turning point, or what is also known as a change of heart or perspective. Life is just a fleeting moment.
Many of the beliefs that seem to be our guiding force in life can be stripped away in a moment. How often do we take life experiences for granted? The reality has always been, and always will be, that life spins on a dime. It can change in an instant. Nothing is forever, little is for sure.

The Top 10 Things to Expect After Your Spring Break, © Susan Dunn, MA, EQ and Life Coach
What goes up must come down. If you had a great time, returning to the normal routine is hard. Perhaps you saw loved ones who live far away, or went to a beautiful resort where you were waited on hand and foot, or you left one of the worst winters in Massachusetts for an island in the Caribbean. It's "back to reality" and it's a jolt.
REMEDY: Expect it. Ride it out. It will pass. You can't live in the highs and lows all the time.

ALL ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Is Your Management Style Assisting or Hurting?, © Vishal P. Rao
Many times business owners can have significant differences in management styles that can deter the growth of both the employees and the business.
Employees can have differing needs that require differing methods of management as well. Problems arise when the management style of a business owner does not match the needs of the employees.

Find Clients By Saying No, © Susan Harrow
*If we have little idea of what we really want from our lives, or what a soulful approach might mean, then often the only entrance we have into soul comes from the ability to say a firm no to those things we intuit lead to a loss of vitality....But in the continuous utterance of the no is a profound faith that the yes will appear....One way to come to yes is to say no to everything that does not nourish and entice our secret inner life out into the world.* David Whyte, *The Heart Aroused: Poetry and the Preservation of the Soul in Corporate America.*

Make Your Home Business Choice Carefully, © Kirk Bannerman
Once you have made your choice, the two most important things are to stay focused and not to get discouraged...it takes a long time to become an overnite success!
I've had many active and enthusiastic business team members that were their own worst enemies because they exhibited the classic "flea on a griddle" behavior pattern and jumped around chasing one business opportunity today, and then another one tomorrow without ever putting in enough sustained and focused effort to reasonably give themselves a chance to succeed at any of them.

ARTICLES
How To Study A Publisher's Website, © Catherine Franz
There are many websites that will host your articles on the Internet. Some small, some large, some with guidelines, some without, some support streams of topics, some have a limited focus, some charge a fee and some are free.
With so many places to post your articles how can you maximize distribution with the least amount of effort? You can do so by being selective. Post your articles only on sites that support your topic, have integrity, and have a win/win approach. Since no two websites are alike, here are a few features to watch for when considering your articles for submission:

How I Shot Myself In the Foot...No, Wallet!, © Palyn Peterson
I need to let you in on some very important information. Not only will this information save you lots of money, or possibly the life of your entire business, but it will allow you to increase your profits through multiple businesses.
First off, operating an online store is a fabulous and lucrative pastime, so kudos on making that decision. But before getting into the thick of it, heed my warning, you do not want to make this same mistake: only maintain one distributor for each of your online stores. Two if you MUST.
