SUMMER SAILS EVENT
What a lot of fun it was!

We had sales and recruits. We had fun and sore buns. It was a great show and I want to thank all our vendors, all our guests, and wish congratulations to all our WINNERS!

Winners Circle

We have begun planning our next event for December so keep an eye out for news and info.

Company Spotlight: Ginger Lewis, The Glass Bracelet

I became involved with the Glass Bracelet after seeing one bracelet in particular: The Circle of Hope. This bracelet immediately caught my attention because it presents the Christian gospel story symbolically through colors. I learned that "Wordless Book" story as a child and had the special privelege of using it 2 years ago on a mission trip to India. We told the story through balloon animals, with jelly beans, through a magic color changing bag and other methods. When I saw that bracelet on the Glass Bracelet website, I had to have it! When I thought about it more, I realized how much I enjoyed jewelry that was sentimental to me or had special meaning ... and how much I would enjoy sharing that jewelry with other women.

Do The Unfamiliar To Keep Your Writing Going, Catherine Franz

One of the best ways to blow someone's winning streak during a tennis game is to comment on how great they are doing. Your comment will kick in their left brain's inner critic which will zap their flow and change their focus. In tennis this is an underhanded type of gamesmanship.

In life, it happens to each of us all the time. Even writers.

THIS WEEK'S THEMATIC SELECTION

Editor's Note: This issue's theme: Learning Our Lessons . . . We ALL have to do it, & the process never ends. If we use those lessons as stepping stones, it's a good bet we'll be stepping UP almost every time.

Lessons Learned: Teaberry & Grandma, Linda Alexander

I've recently discovered a new footcream. It has an absotively delicious aroma that combines mint and something that so poignantly reminds me of my Grandma that I see her face each time I use the product, and I have to smile. That scent is teaberry. Do you have any idea what a teaberry is?

Well, neither did I until I did some research (it's a plant), but that doesn't really matter. What is important is that it brought Grandma back to me, and continues to do so each and every time it's applied. Do you have any memories that come flying back at you at the slightest provocation, when you least expect them, the result of something totally unrelated?

HEAL AND EXPAND INTO JOY, Rev. Sheree Rainbolt-Kren RM

Many of us are roaming the earth in deep, unspeakable pain. We don't appear that way, for we rise each morning to go to jobs we don't really care for. We eat stuff that looks ok, and watch reality shows for fun. A few of us get to do do things on the week-ends, but still, were not really sure what it is that's missing in our lives. We anger easily. We're in need of way more sleep and quiet time. We feel overwhelmed all the time, and so many of us are lonely. We don't have the funds to keep up with the daily hits. We're not healthy, and we're too exhausted to worry about it. Worst of all, it feels like it's us against them, whoever *them* is. Not everyone, but many people are experiencing a troubling distance from their center.

ALL ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Are You Keeping Yourself From Your Next Dream Job?, Sharon Melnick, Ph.D.

8 out of 10 Americans want a new job (Society of HR Professionals, Dec. 2003). When people want to figure out their career situation, they are generally looking for something that is "better" or more, i.e., more passion, more of a challenge, more balance, or more money. Ironically, I've found that most clients start the career planning with a limited sense of possibility.
