Stuart M. Mordfin has over 20 years of experience as a certified public accountant. He has worked with clients in such diverse industries as manufacturing, publishing, real estate development and operations, retail, restaurants, and a variety of professional service companies. Stuart has developed and expanded his CPA practice through innovation, well-informed decision-making, and creative, proactive thinking.

Mordfin LLP is a well-established, highly regarded accounting firm, operating successfully for more than 30 years. Stuart M. Mordfin joined the firm in 1987, and has been a partner since 1999. Since his entrée into the firm, Stuart has lead the way for its expansion into financial planning and money management services through the formation of Mordfin Financial & Business Advisors LLC.

Stuart works with many family-owned businesses. Experiencing first hand what it means to be an integral part of the family business, Stuart is able to offer a unique and valuable perspective to his clients. Real Estate Ventures

Stuart M. Mordfin is involved in real estate ventures in many areas of the country. He works with developers arranging solutions to capital requirements as well as providing administrative structure to these projects. His recent projects include:

• Marriot Fairfield and Suites is located in Boca Raton, Florida. Stuart helped structure the investment as well as assisting his clients in arranging capital and acting as one of the partners.

•2425 Liberty Avenue, an office-building complex, is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stuart worked with the developer on the structure and assisted in obtaining capital for the renovation and conversion of the original Westinghouse Air Brake Factory built in 1875 to a modern office building.

Academic Background

Stuart M. Mordfin graduated from McGill University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with concentrations in Accounting and Management Policy and remains an active supporter of the university.

Stuart M. Mordfin has always been a supporter of local and international charities. He is a member of UJA’s Accountants Division and along with his family and business has been a major contributor to the important work that the UJA performs. Further, Stuart is a member of the Board of Directors of the Syosset Counseling Center (SCC), and for the past several years has acted as treasurer. SCC is a non-profit counseling center, which provides services to the community in such areas as drug and alcohol abuse and family counseling.

In addition, Stuart is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alfred J. Lippman Foundation, which provides funds to various charities.

Stuart is a supporter of the Arts including the American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Joyce Theatre, Dance Galaxy, Vineyard Theatre, and the Nassau County Museum of Art. Finally, Stuart is a supporter of children. He is a regular contributor to the Children’s Medical Fund, the Hagedorn Little Village School, Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the L.I. Children’s Museum.
